In a garden sat a maid and around her grew Fragrant
flowers, roses sweet and dainty violets too. In the distance stood a man
watched the maiden fair, Thought her quite the prettiest flower in the
gardenthere.
|

Slowly he approached the maid and with lifted hat, Gave
her greeting asked her if she'd mind if down he sat.
|

The maiden turned her eyes of blue up to his of brown
Blushed, but moved her skirts asine, so he could sit down.
|

Gathered in his strong firm grasp her little hand so
white Through she pushed away from him, yet her touch was light.
|

So he bold and bolder grew, drew her close to kiss
"Forgetting, by the world forgot" in this their hour of bliss.
